We, the ESG Bonn, take the protection of your personal information and the legal obligations which support this protection very seriously. The legal standards demand transparency in the processing of personal data. Only if an explanation of the data processing is reasonable will you, the affected person, be sufficiently informed of the significance, reason, and extent. Our Privacy Policy will thus explain to you in detail what personal data (for definition please see 2.1) will be processed by us in the use of the website www.dbh-bonn.de and all linked websites therein (please see 2.2)

2. Definitions

2.1 From the DSG-EKD

This Privacy Policy uses the terms of the legal text DSG-EKD. The definitions (§. 4 DSG-EKD) can be viewed at https://www.kirchenrecht-ekd.de/document/39740

2.2 Cookies

Cookies are text data, containing a combination of letters and numbers, from websites which are stored upon your internet capable devices which can then be accessed again by websites again at a future date. An example of their use is when one reconnects to a website, the text data can identify the customer and re-log them in to their account or statistically analyze their usage.

3. General Information About Data Processing

We process data only within the boundaries set by law. The disclosure of your personal data will occur exclusively in the cases described below (see 4.). Personal data will be deleted or protected (pseudonymized or encrypted) as soon as the aim of the data processing is completed. This will also occur with saved data after a prescribed period of time has passed, except in cases where the personal data is required to fulfill or complete a contract. As we are not legally required to maintain personal data for long periods or pass data on to third parties such as prosecuting authorities, the decision regarding what personal data will be compiled, how long it will be saved for, and to what extent it must be disclosed will be made depending on your individual use of this website.

4. Data Processing in Conjunction with the Use of this Website

The use of this website and its functions necessitates the regular processing of certain personal data.

4.1 Informational Use of the Website

When you use our website solely for informative purposes without using any extra functions such as the contact form or social media plugins personal data will be collected by us. The information will be as follows: Type and version of your web browser (User-Agent), your operating system, the last-visited website (“referrer-URL”), IP address of your device and the time you accessed our website. This information will be provided by your internet browser unless you have specifically configured it to suppress data transmission. Moreover, your IP address will be transmitted to third parties whose services on our website is run by their servers. The processing of personal data takes place for optimization and so that the website functions, as well as safeguard of the security of our technology system. This serves to fulfill our responsibilities and represents an ecclesiastical interest which is why the data processing in accordance with § 6 numbers 3 and 4 DSG-EKD is permissible. Personal data will be saved for a period of 30 to 60 days. We will not combine personal data with other data sources. A transfer of data to third parties will only occur if it is necessary to the running of our website. The transfer of data to a third country or international organization is not intended.

4.2 Establishing Contact per E-Mail

If you write us an email the personal data given by you will be processed. The information will be provided by your E-Mail and saved in our technology system. The processing of this data is necessary to answer your inquiry. Additionally, your IP address, date and time of contact will be saved. Data processing serves the answering of your inquiry and to protect the safety of our technology system. This processing is acceptable according to § 6 numbers 3 and 4 DSG-EKD, because answering your inquiry serves our tasks and represents ecclesiastical interests. The personal data will be saved as long as required to answer your inquiry. Should your inquiry lead to the conclusion of a contract the data will be stored as long as this is necessary to the implementation of precontractual measures or the end of the contract. We will not combine personal data with other data sources. A transfer of data on third parties will not occur. The transfer of data to a third country or international organization is not intended. You are not required to provide your personal data, but the use of the contact form or E-Mail without is not possible.

4.3 SSL- or TLS- Encryption

For safety and to protect the transfer of confidential content sent by users of this website, this website uses SSL- or TLS- encryption. An encrypted connection can by recognized in the address line of your browser. The designation “http://” will change to “https://” and a lock symbol will appear in the browser line. When the SSL- or TLS- is active the data you share with us cannot be simultaneously received by a third party.

5. Rights of Affected Persons

You, as an affected person, have the right to disclosure § 19 DSG-EKD, the right to rectification § 20 DSG-EKD, the right to deletion § 21 DSG-EKD, the right to limitation of the data processing § 22 DSG-EKD as well as the right to data portability § 24 DSG-EKD. Furthermore, you have the right to file complaint with a data protection authority (§ 46 DSG-EKD in combination with §39 DSG-EKD).

6. Automated Decisions in Individual Cases Including Profiling

There will be no automated decisions in individual cases including profiling.

7. Reporting Obligations of the Responsible Party

In accordance with § 23 DSG-EKD we will inform all recipients to whom your personal data has been disclosed of any rectification, deletion, or limitation of processing of your personal data in accordance with §§ 20-22 DSG-EKD except when the notification is impossible, or if it would involve a disproportionate effort. We will inform you about the recipient if this happens.

8. Right to Object

You have the right according to § 25 DSG-EKD, to object to the processing of your personal data (§ 6 Numbers 1, 3, 4 or 8) due to reasons specific to your personal situation at any point in time. If your personal data is being used for the purpose of direct advertisement, then you have the right at any point in time to object to the processing of your personal data for these purposes. 9. Right of Withdrawal of Consent to the Processing of Personal Data

You have the right according to § 11 Abs. 3 DSG-EKD to withdraw your consent at any point in time. The legality of data processing that occurred before your withdrawal of consent will be maintained. The removal of consent only affects data processing that will occur after the withdrawal. The withdrawal of consent need not have a specific form. Should you choose to remove your consent, your data will no longer be processed, except in the case where other legal reasons specifically allow it. When the withdrawal of consent happens, and no other legal permissions exist, then your data must be promptly deleted as according to §21 Abs. 1 Number 3 DSG-EKD.
